Our Lady of Lourdes is once again going to have a children’s choir for our 3:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Vigil Mass. All children in grades 2 & up are welcome, no prior experience necessary!
They just need to attend 2 of 3 rehearsals that we’ll have on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m., December 4, 11, & 18. Any who are interested in having your children (or grandchildren!) participate,
please email Samuel Libra at [email protected].
Today is my final day as your pastor and my heart is filled with gratitude for these very rich and full ten years at Our Lady of Lourdes. This time spent with you on our journey of faith and with our gracious God has been a gift I will not soon forget. I had the opportunity today to pray in our beautiful church and to thank God for our community of faith and for our historic church in which was have together worshipped the living God. As I depart, I would like to call your attention briefly to a number of important items ...

With Lent beginning next week, it is a good time for us to begin contemplating what fruit the season of Lent is supposed to bear in our spiritual lives, and how we can encourage that growth.

From Fr. Griffith: 'The call to faith and generosity are always in season for Christians who follow Jesus' model of humble service. The path of generosity and love is the way forward to a healthy future as a parish and the way forward to a more just and peaceful world."
"I write to you on this day that commemorates the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country. This is a sobering time for our nation as we recall the horrific violence that changed the world. In the midst of this commemoration, we are also witnessing suffering on a grand scale throughout the world – in Afghanistan, as a result of many natural disasters, from the continued effects of a global pandemic, and the suffering that so many experience as a result of injustice and a lack of basic material goods. We believe in a God who has entered into our world in Christ Jesus and continues to extend his outstretched hand of grace. Having been lifted by Christ, we are called to extend our hands to our brothers and sisters in need ..."
"I write to you today in the midst of the continued increase of the Delta Variant in our community and throughout the nation. This has resulted in increased infections among children and vulnerable populations, increased stress among healthcare workers and first responders, and a significant decrease of available ICU beds in our community. This concerning reality requires increased vigilance on the part of all Catholics, consistent with our commitment to social solidarity and the common good ..."

Effective Saturday, September 11, the new weekend Mass schedule at Our Lady of Lourdes will be: Saturday, 4:30 p.m. (Confessions from 3:45-4:15 or by appointment); Sunday, 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The 10:30 a.m. Mass will continue to be livestreamed ..."
"In light of the spike in COVID infections in our community and throughout the country brought on by the Delta Variant, I met with parish leaders this past week to discuss how we might respond at Lourdes. As you might imagine, a variety of perspectives, concerns, and counsel were expressed to me. Of concern to a number of parish leaders is the potential effect of the variant on children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions ..."
