Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer shawls have been used throughout the generations. Our ancient Israeli ancestors used prayer shawls to help them pray and to remind them of God's constant presence.

Our Lady of Lourdes Prayer Shawl Ministry is a spiritual outreach. Prayer Shawl members knit and crochet in a group (once a month, September through May), as well as in their homes, praying over the shawls as they create them.

The handmade shawls are then blessed at church. Shawls are available to share comfort, care, and prayer with people facing illness, loss, or other difficult times.
