Requirements
Earlier on in the season, we were directing families to have there 8th grade and high school students that are ready for Confirmation to enroll in a Confirmation Program at another church. However, upon further consideration we will offer a Confirmation Program here at Our Lady of Lourdes for any families that wish to have their son or daughter be confirmed through Our Lady of Lourdes. We are sorry for the misdirection we have given over the past few weeks. If any of our parents that asked about confirmation and were directed to go to the Basilica of St. Mary, you are welcome to reconsider partaking in the Confirmation Program here at Our Lady of Lourdes.
If you have any questions, please contact Peter Young in the Parish Office.- One of the candidate's parents should be a parishioner and a practicing Catholic.
- Candidate must have made their First Penance/First Communion.
- Children must be enrolled in 8th grade or older, attend Faith Formation classes and attend all of the Confirmation Sacramental preparation classes. Complete and submit the Sacrament Preparation registration form.
- Confirmation 2025/2026 - Sunday, October 19, 2025 between the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses.
Fees
Registration fee for the Sacrament of Confirmation is $75.

The Strength of the Holy Spirit
Sacrament of Confirmation
Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "sacraments of Christian initiation," whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For "by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. CCC 1285
