Rest in Peace: Thomas Johnson

Funeral arrangements for our friend Tom Johnson have been set for Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 am with Archbishop Hebda presiding and Father Griffith preaching. Due to pandemic restrictions, the service will be attended by family and close friends and live streamed at https://lourdesmpls.org/Lourdes-live.

From Fr. Griffith: “I am saddened by the passing of Tom Johnson, longtime parishioner of Lourdes, after a determined battle with cancer. My condolences, love and support and that of the Lourdes community go out to Victoria and the Johnson family.

The loving and generous care of Tom by Victoria and Tom’s children was inspiring to witness. It represents the best of humanity and the pinnacle of Christian service - consistent with how Tom poured himself out in service of others.

Personally, I count Tom and Victoria among my closest friends and have benefited greatly from their wisdom and support as pastor. Tom was a friend, a mentor and trusted counselor to many, including me, and he will be deeply missed.”
