Today is my final day as your pastor and my heart is filled with gratitude for these very rich and full ten years at Our Lady of Lourdes. This time spent with you on our journey of faith and with our gracious God has been a gift I will not soon forget. I had the opportunity today to pray in our beautiful church and to thank God for our community of faith and for our historic church in which was have together worshipped the living God. Tomorrow, we are honored to have Bishop Joseph Williams preside at our 4:30pm Mass. This special Mass will also include Confirmations, First Communions, as well as the presentation of the Fleur-de-lis and Pope Francis Awards! Mass will also be *LIVESTREAMED* at Lourdes Live, Facebook, and Youtube! There will also be a reception after Mass to celebrate. We hope to see you there!
An ambry is a cabinet that houses the Sacred Oils that are used in several of the Sacraments. These oils are traditionally blessed by the local Bishop during the Chrism Mass. Our new ambry was designed by local iconographer N. Markell and was blessed by Fr. Griffith on Holy Thursday. A beautiful addition to our collection of sacred art at Lourdes!

With Lent beginning next week, it is a good time for us to begin contemplating what fruit the season of Lent is supposed to bear in our spiritual lives, and how we can encourage that growth.
